Reena grew up travelling the world with her family and being exposed to and appreciating a huge variety of architecture. Combine that with her love of art, and excellence in math and science, and it’s no wonder she found her calling in the architectural sciences. In the final year of her degree, a major project had Reena focusing on NetZero, Passive House and other sustainability standards, energy modelling and lifecycle assessments.
This, and growing up in the GTA – a city constantly building more – awakened a recognition that things need to change, and a desire to find a way to help mitigate climate change. Reena wishes to be part of making Toronto more sustainable and enjoyable.
Looking for a solid start, Reena loved the fact that Green Reason is a sustainability-focused company and not a company with a sustainable division. Our history and portfolio show a company with various projects – more opportunity and flexibility. Joining as a project administrator and working closely with senior team members, GR feels like a place Reena can learn, grow and make a difference.
Education is a never-ending opportunity, and Reena fully intends to pursue several kinds of sustainable building designations or certifications, learning as many standards and methods as she can.
It’s not surprising to learn that Reena is very active and outdoorsy. She loves hiking, running, sailing, travelling and spending time with her Golden Doodle (heavy on the golden) Remmi. To round things out Reena finds creative expression in photography and painting.
