Green Reason at IIDEX Canada 2016, Passive House Pavilion

Learn more about this international building standard on the IIDEXCanada Show Floor at The Passive House Pavilion. Join Alan there as he moderates a panel discussion at the National Summit on Passive House on December 1, from 9 a.m. until Noon.

The Passive House (PassivHaus) Standard is most commonly associated with residential buildings. However, Alan has been drawn to its simple principles for building low-energy, healthy, comfortable buildings of all types. As an active member of Passive House Canada, Alan is working to expand the industry’s knowledge and adoption of this standard for all types of buildings. Last year Alan presented the seminar Is Sustainable Design Only About Energy? The Real ROI.

The National Summit on Passive House will examine the only internationally-recognized high-performance Passive House Standard by delving into the key principles of Passive House design. Elements include airtight building envelopes, passive heating/cooling, ventilation, certified products, and affordability.

This summit is being coordinated by Passive House Canada, where Alan Murphy sits on the Board of Directors.

IIDEXCanada 2016: November 30 – December 1, 2016 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, North Building.
