We are pleased to announce that 720 King Street West was recognized at this year’s HOOPP LEAP Awards, and was presented with the Sustainability Achiever award for Building Performance. This award is for the highest overall sustainability achiever in the HOOPP portfolio. The LEAP (Leadership in Environmental Advancement) Awards recognize excellence in sustainability, celebrating the successes of management teams and tenants in HOOPP (Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan) Real Estate properties across Canada.
In competition with other proactive HOOPP property managers across the entire country, 720 King came out as the number one property because we had the best overall sustainability performance on HOOPP’s Pillar Scorecard which measures various sustainability measures including energy performance, waste diversion, water use reduction and tenant engagement. It was also noted that 720 King is one of the top 10 energy performers in commercial buildings in HOOPP’s entire Canadian portfolio.
It is through the collaboration of the tenants, the members of the Green Council, Green Reason, Triovest and our asset managers at Greiner-Pacaud/Hamilton that this honour was achieved. Thank you to everyone for your outstanding efforts and achievements.
This is the fourth year that HOOPP has hosted the LEAP Awards. The awards were held in Mississauga on May 28th at HOOPP’s new LEED Gold targeted building, Spectrum Square.
